CHROM

CHROM was founded in May 2007 by Christian Marquis and Thomas Winters after the long-time acquaintances discovered a shared passion for vibrant, danceable, yet melodic electro sounds. CHROM represents an effective synthesis of synth-pop, EBM, and club-electro—meaning rich beats and penetrating basslines (often with real punch) garnished with catchy, memorable melodies. Their debut album, *Electroscope*, was released in April 2010 via Fear Section, distributed by Out Of Line Music. In March 2012, CHROM released their second album, *Synthetic Movement*, through Out Of Line Music, further refining their signature sound that straddles the line between club music and electronic pop. Their third studio album, *Peak & Decay*, followed in 2016 and charted directly on the Official German Album Charts.

Thomas Winters left the band in 2022; since then, frontman Christian Marquis has continued the project as a solo act, supported live by Alexander Suttmer on keyboards. Work is currently underway on a new album, scheduled for release in late 2025. The singles « Paralysed » and « Agony, » released in 2024, offer a taste of the upcoming album: more powerful and emotional than ever—fresh yet familiar. CHROM is back!
